I love teaching, and I am happy to visit schools or libraries and deliver workshops or presentations on creative writing, art, illustration, or creative play.

Two workshops I do:

• Helping kids make their very own journals (yes! We make real books!)

• Secrets for writing funny books (lots of giggles for this one!)

My experience: I designed lessons for and taught art to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders at a local Montessori school for 8 years. I also taught 4th-6th graders during some of that time, so have experience with a wide range of ages. Teaching is a huge joy for me! I have experience teaching both in-person and via zoom and enjoy both.

Please note that I also do a limited amount of 15-minute free author visits for schools during WORLD READ-ALOUD day, which usually takes place the first Wednesday in February. I especially appreciate doing these visits for schools who have purchased my book THE ELEPHANTS’ GUIDE TO HIDE-AND-SEEK. I will post a link here for my sign-up when it’s available.*
